A forensic accountant was asked by an insurance company to quantify the value of loss to a firm following a robbery of gold bars. From the security tapes it was known that the two men, of average height and build, only made one visit to the safe. The accountant compared the amount claimed with a calculation of the weight of gold bars the two men could have physically carried and found that the claim was vastly inflated!
