Technology world leader acquired by iicorr
Alresford-based Subspection Limited has been sold to iicorr, a subsidiary of Stork BV, in a move which will enable one of its founding directors to focus on his passion for technology – which has been at the root of the business’s success.
Subspection is an industry leader in the measurement of electric fields in seawater, the development of anti-corrosion measures which protect ships, jetties and other marine installations from corrosion and in systems which can be used to monitor cathodic protection. Established in 1981 it now operates in more than 30 countries around the globe.
Whittan Group acquires Hi-Store
International storage systems business Whittan Group has acquired Hi-Store, a niche and highly successful business in the cantilever racking and mezzanine flooring market.
The sale, for an undisclosed sum, adds the Hi-Store range of patented products to the European-wide Whittan Group and a platform to expand into the specialist mezzanine flooring field. The Whittan Group, which has a presence in six countries and employs a workforce of more than 950 across Europe, is the number one supplier of storage equipment in the UK. Hi-Store was established in 1991 and employs a team of more than 20 at its Four Marks premises..
Ocean Sky Aviation Acquisition of Northern Executive Aviation

Ocean Sky Aviation has acquired Northern Executive Aviation (NEA).
Northern Executive Aviation repairs and maintains private jets and operates a VIP terminal for passengers travelling on executive aircraft. Its purpose-built HQ, which opened in 1998, has won awards as the top executive jet handling facility in Europe. Following the acquisition, NEA’s terminal will be rebranded as the Ocean Sky Jet Centre and its maintenance division as Ocean Sky Engineering. Morley and Scott Corporate Finance, who also assisted in the transaction, commented that Ocean Sky’s acquisition placed the company in a unique position to retain and capture a growing share of the private jet market.
